Coin Operated Washer and Dryer
There are different types of coin operated washers and dryers available and can be found in almost every place where there are multi-residents. They’re at apartment buildings, motels and even found at marinas.
A Coin Operated Washer and Dryer is Ideal for Rental Properties
Find a Durable Washer and Dryer for your Tenants
When I went out and purchased a four unit apartment building (with tenants), the previous owner left a coin operated washer and dryer behind. They were both older models and looked like they haven’t been maintenance for quite some time. I decided to replace them with a new top loader washer and a rear controlled dryer and both be coin operated. When I was desperately looking for a way to haul these two machines away, a tenant from the building came and told me that there was a problem with the tenants not having access to the appliances when they were able to do their laundry; being because they were in constant use. So most of the time, this particular tenant went to a local Laundromat to do his laundry. One washer and one dryer wasn’t enough for an apartment building that had four units. I thought about it and told him I would look into it and I did just that.
I found a website that sold just coin operated washers and dryers and was amazed at the different styles they had to offer. I also went to the local Laundromat and asked a few questions. I noticed that this Laundromat had washers and dryers that were made by Speed Queen. The ones I threw out were made by Whirlpool. If I was going to purchase a coin operated washer and dryer, I wanted them to be durable and the Speed Queen looked like it was the most durable and could handle constant use. I found out that Speed Queen also had available stacked washers and dryers. That would be great for saving on space. Instead of having 4 separate units taking up space, I could quite possibly have 6 units that would take up the space of three. With three double stacked washers and dryer, everybody would be able to do their laundry whenever they needed to do it. Not to mention the extra money I would be collecting now that nobody needed to go to the Laundromat.
There are Many Establishments that have Coin Operated Washers and Dryers
After I made my purchase (which I’m very happy with), I realized how many other establishments that need a coin operated washer and dryer. Campgrounds and RV parks would benefit greatly having coin operated washers and dryers. Truck stops that are all over the United States need laundry facilities for all the truck drivers that are constantly coming and going. Military installations also have washers and dryers that are coin operated, as well as homes for senior citizens. Residence halls on college campuses have many coin operated washers and dryers for their students.
